What you need to know
You do not need an international driving license to rent a motorhome with us and you can drive all our motorhomes with your NL B driving license. Drivers must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license. Note that all drivers with non-English licenses must carry an English translation or an International Driving Permit(IDP). This is to help police determine that a foreign license is valid, verify that the driver has the proper class for the vehicle, and check for additional stipulations attached to the license.
If you need further information about driving in New Zealand, visit the Land Transport NZ website:
Yes, you can park your car with us but we do not accept any responsibility for loss or damage that might occur while parking.
You can pick up the camper between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. You can always call us to arrange the pick-up time.
Please return your motorhome with a full tank, undamaged and clean with an empty toilet tank between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
If it is your first time with an RV, we would like to spend at least an hour with you going over the RV equipment and contract so you feel comfortable and if you feel you need longer, this is not a problem.
Yes, pick up from the Rotorua airport, accommodation or intercity bus stop is free. However, pickup at the Auckland airport is free only when booking for a minimum of 14 days.
No problem, a special room for that. Rotorua Campervans is not liable for any damage or loss of your bags.
We are sorry, but we have a strict no-smoking policy. Smoking is not allowed in our motorhomes, and if there is a sign or smell of cigarette smoke, we may charge up to a maximum of €450 for professional cleaning.
We are sorry, but pets are not allowed in our RVs and we may charge up to €420 for the cost of professional cleaning if this is not met.
Our camper vans have comprehensive insurance that covers damage to the vehicle or third parties. If there is damage to the motorhome and the accident is your fault, your deductible is €3000. In the event that the damage is caused by a third party, we will hold the deductible until it is determined that the other party is liable (unfortunately, many people claim that it is not their fault, and in the end it turns out that they are responsible when the facts are checked). In case of damage to the roof (e.g. From trees), you are responsible for the full cost of the repair. In case of total loss or theft, you are responsible for the first €3000. Please note that actions resulting from negligence or abuse are entirely your responsibility.
Once the lease is signed we will only take a copy of your credit card, no amount will be charged to your card. Only in case of damage or if the rental contract is not fulfilled we may write off the deposit of 3000 Euro as insurance coverage.
Once the damage is repaired and/or dealt with or other costs for which you are responsible are met only then will the ( remaining ) deposit be refunded. If the motorhome is returned without damage and to the terms of the rental contract then nothing will be charged to your credit card afterwards either.
